Measure S: It’s a Done Deal
All the walk-in votes have been added to the tally, and Measure S still squeaked by. Here’s how it all shook out:
Yes: 67.6% (4,158 votes) No: 32.4% (1,993 votes)
Here’s what it means in a nutshell: If you’re a homeowner in South Pas, you’ll now pay an annual $288 parcel tax for the next four years. If you own any multi-family housing, that tax will be $95 for each unit. In exchange for that hard-earned cash, the school district hopes to avoid teacher layoffs and keep class sizes small.
