EVADING PEACE OFFICER

Victim runs away and S1 enters vehicle and drives away. SUSPECT VEHICLE: White, compact, 4-door. SUSPECT DESCRIPTION: S1 – Male, Hispanic, 20-25 years, short hair, wearing large jacket and blue jeans. S2 – Male, Hispanic..
• 1-11-10, 12:10 PM, Monterey/Glendon Way. Victim (Female, Juvenile) is walking on the sidewalk when suspect approaches and asks victim if she needs a ride. Victim refuses and suspect walks to a parked vehicle. As victim gets to her residence, suspect drives up and asks for victim’s phone number. Victim ignores suspect and runs inside house. Suspect then drives away. SUSPECT VEHICLE: White, 4-door sedan with a bicycle rack at the rear holding a red bicycle. SUSPECT DESCRIPTION: Male, Hispanic, 25-35 years, 503-504, medium build, black shoulder length hair, wearing green/brown shirt and tan pants.

• 12-19-09, 2:15 AM, Fair Oaks/Huntington. Suspect collides into a street pole and is found to be intoxicated. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Female, 44, Glendale.
• 12-21-09, 6:50 PM, 1200 block of Fair Oaks. Officers respond to a welfare check of a subject that parked in a handicap stall and stagger into a store. Subject is found to be intoxicated and also not possess a handicap placard for vehicle. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, 46, Los Angeles.

• 12-4-09, 1:45 AM to 1:50 AM, 600 block of Orange Grove (storage locker). Suspect(s) pry door of storage locker to gain entry. LOSS: Pack, misc. hunting gear and (2) guitars.
• 12-14-09, 10 PM to 12-15-09, 9 AM, 2000 block of Meridian (storage lockers). Suspect(s) cut padlocks to four storage lockers and takes loss. LOSS: V1 – Unknown. V2 – Camping equipment. V3 – Bike carrier. V4 – Unknown.
• 12-15-09, 1:18 AM, 600 block of Prospect Lane (detached garage). Witness sees suspects taking property from victim’s detached garage to a waiting vehicle. Suspects drive away and later returns to burglarize a vehicle in the 700 block of Orange Grove. Suspects are seen by officers and one suspect runs away as five other suspects are detained. A police helicopter and canine are used to search for the sixth suspect, who is later found hiding in a rear yard. All six suspects are arrested and found to have burglarized the garage earlier. Detectives conduct search warrant at one suspect’s residence and recover property taken from storage locker. LOSS: Golf clubs and other misc. items (Recovered). SUSPECT VEHICLE: ’04, Gold, GMC Yukon. • 1-10-10, 2:10 AM, 1400 block of Bank (hot prowl), apartment unit. Victim leaves front door unlocked while outside talking on his cellphone in the carport area. As victim returns to apartment, victim sees suspect exiting his apartment unit. Victim chases suspect, but suspect runs away. LOSS: Unknown. • 1-15-10, 11:50 AM to 1 PM, 1400 block of Bank (apartment unit). Suspect(s) enter through an unlocked window. LOSS: None.
• 1-15-10, 5:45 AM to 4:14 PM, 1100 block of Marengo. Suspect(s) gains entry by unknown means. LOSS: Digital camera and jewelry.

• 12-4-09, 1:15 PM, 900 block of Fair Oaks (Rite Aid). Employee sees suspect enter store and hides loss inside purse, then exit store without paying for loss. Employee detains suspect and suspect is arrested. LOSS: Baby formula and assorted personal items. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Female, 26, West Covina.
• 12-4-09, 2:10 PM, 900 block of Fair Oaks (Rite Aid). Employee sees suspect enter store and hides loss inside backpack, then exit store without paying for loss. Employees detains suspect and suspect is arrested. LOSS: Misc. personal items. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, 55, Los Angeles.
• 12-7-09, 11:30 AM, 1400 block of Mission (Chevron). Employee is distracted with customer as suspect enters store and takes loss. Suspect places loss inside purse then exits store without paying. Employee reviews surveillance video which shows crime. LOSS: Water and assorted snacks. SUSPECT DESCRIPTION: Female, Black, 20-40 years, black hair in ponytail, wearing black jacket, white shirt, blue jeans, carrying a purse.
• 12-11-09, 11:15 AM, 900 block of Fair Oaks (Rite Aid). Employee sees suspect enter store and takes loss. Suspect places loss inside waistband, then exits store without paying for loss. Employee detains suspect outside of store and suspect is arrested. LOSS: Book. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, 41, South Pasadena.
• 12-22-09, 11:15 AM, 900 block of Fair Oaks (Rite Aid). Employee sees suspect hide loss in bag, then exit store without paying. Employee detains suspect and suspect is arrested. LOSS: Cosmetics. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Female, 27, Pasadena.
• 12-16-09, 7:30 PM, 600 block of Fair Oaks (Bristol Farm). Employee sees suspect push shopping cart, full of groceries, out of store without paying. Employee detains suspect and suspect enters a vehicle and drives away. Employee recoveries shopping cart and groceries. LOSS: Groceries (recovered). SUSPECT VEHICLE: Silver, Saturn. SUSPECT DESCRIPTION: Female, White, 40-50 years.
• 12-16-09, 2 PM, 900 block of Fair Oaks (Rite Aid). Employee sees suspect hide loss inside pants, then exit store without paying. Employee detains suspect outside of store and suspect is arrested. LOSS: Eye drops (recovered). SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, Juvenile.
• 12-21-09, 9 PM, 300 block of Monterey (liquor store). Employee sees suspect hide loss in shirt and attempt to pay for another item with a credit card. Credit card is denied and suspect leaves without paying for loss in shirt. Employee chases after suspect and suspect throws loss on sidewalk and continues to walk away. Officers arrive and suspect is arrested. LOSS: Liquor (recovered). SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, 49, Los Angeles.
• 12-24-09, 12 PM, 1200 block of Fair Oaks (Pavilions). Witness sees suspects exit store with a shopping cart full of groceries without paying. S2 is immediately arrested, but S1 runs away and is later found hiding a block away. LOSS: Groceries (recovered). SUSPECTS ARRESTED: S1 – Male, 46, Pasadena. S2 – Female, 49, Los Angeles.
• 12-27-09, 12:30 PM to 12-28-09, 10 AM, 600 block of Monterey (Methodist Church). Suspect(s) makes entry into building by unknown means and pries office door open. Suspect(s) pries cabinet taking loss. LOSS: Cash.
• 1-11-10, 7:15 PM, 900 block of Fair Oaks (Rite Aid). Suspect enters store and employee sees suspect take loss and exit store without paying. Suspect is detained and arrested. LOSS: Liquor (recovered). SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, 41, South Pasadena.
• 1-12-10, 2:45 PM, 900 block of Fair Oaks (Rite Aid). Suspect enters store and employee sees suspect take loss, and then hide loss in pants pocket. Suspect then exits store without paying for loss. Suspect is detained and arrested. LOSS: Misc. items. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, 25, Los Angeles.
• 1-18-10, 2:45 PM, 800 block of Fair Oaks (Radio Shack). Suspect enters store and looks around. Suspect asked to see loss. Employee shows loss to suspect and suspect takes loss and runs out of the store without paying for it. LOSS: I-pod and headphones. SUSPECT DESCRIPTION: Male, Black, 20-25 years, 510, 150, black almost shaved head, wearing a green hooded jacket, blue baseball cap.
• 1-24-10, 12:52 AM, 900 block of Fair Oaks (Rite Aid). Employee sees suspect enter store and take loss. Suspect hides loss in pockets and pays for other merchandise. Suspect then exits store without paying for loss hidden in pockets. Suspect is detained by store employee and is arrested. Suspect is later found to possess items stolen from Blockbuster’s in Pasadena. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, 27, Los Angeles.
• 1-26-10, 10:30 PM, 1200 block of Fair Oaks (Pavilions). Suspect enters store and places loss in shopping basket. Suspect exits store without paying for loss activating alarm sensors. Employee follows suspect outside, and sees suspect enter a waiting vehicle and drive away. LOSS: Liquor. SUSPECT DESCRIPTION: Male, Black, 20-30 years, thin build. SUSPECT VEHICLE: White, Ford F-150 pick-up.

ROBBERY

• 12-3-09, 10:13 PM, Fremont/Huntington. Victim is riding a bicycle and stopped for a red light. Suspects drive up and stop in front of victim and S1 exits vehicle, as S2 stays inside vehicle as a lookout. S1 runs to victim and points a gun to victim’s head and takes loss. • 12-3-09, 2:43 PM, Hill/Collis. S1, S2 and victim are ex-friends. V1 is driving with passenger (V2) when suspects drive past and cut in front of victim. S1 and V1 exit their vehicles and get into an argument which escalates into a fight. S2 and V2 start to argue, which also escalates into a fight. S2 takes loss from V1 and suspects drive away. LOSS: Cell phone.
• 12-24-09, 2:30 PM, Marengo/Oak. Victim is walking on the street when suspect approaches from behind. Suspect pulls out a knife and demands loss. Victim fears for her life and complies. Suspect takes loss and runs away. LOSS: Purse. WEAPON USED: Knife. SUSPECT DESCRIPTION: Male, Hispanic, late teens early 20’s, wearing baseball cap, dark jacket and blue jeans.
• 12-31-09, 12 PM, 900 block of Fair Oaks (Rite Aid). Employee recognizes suspect entering store as a suspect that previously stole from the store. Suspect walks to liquor section and takes loss, then exits store without paying. Employee detains suspect outside of store and suspect refuses to return loss. Employee takes loss and suspect hits employee, then runs away. Officers find suspect and suspect is arrested. LOSS: Liquor. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, 41, South Pasadena.
• 1-17-10, 4 PM, Fair Oaks/Spruce. Victim (Female, 54 year-old) is walking on the street when suspect approaches from behind and grabs victim’s purse. Victim holds on to purse and suspect hits and kicks victim until victim lets go of purse. Suspect then runs to a waiting vehicle. LOSS: Purse. SUSPECT VEHICLE: Charcoal gray, PT Cruiser. SUSPECT DESCRIPTION: Male, Hispanic, 25-28 years, mustache, wearing dark blue hooded sweat shirt with a hood, and dark blue shorts with a white stripe.
• 1-19-10, 8 PM, Fair Oaks/Bank. Victim is walking on the street when S1 approaches and pulls out a knife. S1 demands loss from victim and victim complies. S1 then runs to S2, where both suspects run to a waiting vehicle driven by S3. WEAPON USED: 4”-6” knife. LOSS: Cell phone. SUSPECT VEHICLE: 4-dr, tan, Honda. SUSPECTS DESCRIPTION: S1 – Male, Hispanic, 18-25 years, 510-600, thin build, wearing a dark colored long sleeve shirt and a baseball cap. S2 – Male, Hispanic, 18 – 25 years, heavy build, wearing dark clothing. S3 – Male, Hispanic, heavy build.

CARJACKING

• 1-26-10, 2 PM, 300 block of Pasadena. Victim parks vehicle (’08, BMW) in driveway and exits vehicle to drop off real estate flyers, leaving engine on. As victim turns around, victim sees suspect enter vehicle. Suspect pulls out a gun and points it at victim. Victim lies on the ground and suspect drives away. Victim’s vehicle is equipped with LoJack and is activated. LAPD Northeast Division locates victim’s vehicle and suspect runs from vehicle. A containment is made and suspect is found hiding inside a home in the 6200 block of Annan Way, Los Angeles and is arrested. WEAPON USED: Black, semi-auto pistol (later found to be a pellet gun). SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, 38, Los Angeles.

ASSAULT

• Oct. 2008 to Nov. 2008, 2000 block of Hanscom. Victim is driving when suspect, who is driving in the opposite direction towards victim, veers towards victim and yells at victim as suspect drives by. SUSPECTS DESCRIPTION: S1- Male, Hispanic. S2 – Female, Hispanic.
• 1-1-10, 9:55 PM, Fremont/Oxley. Suspect tailgates victim down Fremont and suspect illegally passes victim on the left side. As suspect gets alongside victim’s vehicle, suspect swerves and collides with victim’s vehicle. Suspect continues to drive away without stopping. SUSPECT DESCRIPTION: Male, Hispanic, shaved head, 22-28 years. SUSPECT VEHICLE: ’96, White, Chevy pickup with a shell..

• 1-8-10, 10:20 AM, 1400 block of Fremont (South Pasadena High School). School official contacts suspect who is in possession of ecstasy pills. Suspect is later arrested. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, Juvenile.
• 1-8-10, 6 PM, 1700 block of Ellincourt. Suspect is with friends and consumes an ecstasy pill. Parents of suspect later notices suspect is under the influence and drives suspect to hospital. Officers are called and suspect is arrested. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Female, Juvenile.
• 1-18-10, 5:12 PM, Alhambra/Electric. Suspect is stopped for a traffic violation and found to be in possession of marijuana. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, 19, Alhambra.
• 1-20-10, 8:10 PM, Alhambra/Fletcher. Suspect is stopped for a traffic violation and driver and passenger are found to be in possession of marijuana. SUSPECTS ARRESTED: S1 – Male, 21, Alhambra. S2 – Male, Juvenile.
• 1-22-10, 8:30 AM, 1900 block of Fremont (Almansor Center). School official detains suspect for smoking marijuana. Officers responds and suspect is arrested. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, juvenile.

DISTURBING RELIGIOUS ASSEMBLY

• 1-10-10, 7:28 AM, 1500 block of Fremont (Holy Family Church). Suspect walks into parish hall and yells profanities. Employee ask suspect to leave hall, which suspect complies. Suspect then walks to church and again yells profanities. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, 31, Monterey Park.

POSSESSION OF PARAPHERNALIA/BURGLARY TOOLS

• 12-18-09, 3:18 AM, 800 block of Stratford. Officer is enforcing overnight parking, when suspects drive by slowly. Suspect’s vehicle has expired registration and officer makes a traffic stop. S1 and S2 are found to be on parole, and S2 is also found to have an outstanding warrant. Suspects are found to be in possession of burglary tools, and S1 and S3 are also found to be in possession of narcotic paraphernalia. A pistol is later found in the sidewalk in the 800 block of Stratford. SUSPECTS ARRESTED: S1 – Male, 38, Los Angeles. S2 – Male, 22, N. Hollywood. S3 – Female, 20, Los Angeles.

INDECENT EXPOSURE

• 1-15-10, 2:50 PM, 1300 block of Diamond. Officers respond to a suspect masturbating inside a vehicle. Officers arrive but are unable to locate suspect or witness. SUSPECT VEHICLE: White, Toyota Sienna with “Star” on side of vehicle. SUSPECT DESCRIPTION: Male, White, bald, heavyset.

MAIL THEFT ARREST

• 12-23-09, 5000 block Marmion Way, Los Angeles. SPPD Detectives follow up on a mail theft investigation from 12-15-09, where suspect’s vehicle was seen involved in stealing mail in the 1700-1900 block of Hanscom. SPPD Detectives conduct a search warrant at suspect’s residence and find numerous pieces of mail from several cities and several altered checks. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, 22, Los Angeles.

MINOR POSSESSING TOBACCO

• 12-8-09, 11:35 AM, 1800 block of Camden. Suspects are stopped for daytime loitering by minors’ curfew and found to be in possession of tobacco products.

IDENTITY THEFT/CREDIT CARD/CHECK FRAUD

• October 2009 to 12-4-09, 2000 block of Oak. Victim mails bill, but bill is not received. Victim later discovers several unauthorized charges to checking account.
• October 2009 to 1-25-10, 800 block of Flores de Oro. Suspect(s) makes counterfeit checks using victim’s banking account and makes several unauthorized purchases.
• May 2005 to 12-18-09, 1300 block of Indiana. Suspect(s) gains access to victim’s credit card account and makes a monthly transaction since May 2005.
• January 2006 to 12-18-09, 300 block of Pasadena. Suspect(s) gains access to victim’s checking account and makes several unauthorized withdrawals.
• October 2009 to 1-7-10, 1600 block of Amberwood. Suspect(s) accesses victim’s checking account and makes an unauthorized transaction.
• 11-1-09 to 12-21-09, 1200 block of Huntington. Suspect(s) changes address of victim’s mail through post office and also makes an unauthorized withdrawal from victim’s bank account.
• 12-4-09 to 1-6-10, 1700 block of Mission. Suspect(s) obtains victim’s checking account and makes a fictitious check. Suspect(s) then passes check.
• 12-17-09 to 12-18-09, 1000 block of Mission (needle point store). Suspect makes a purchase with a travelers check. Victim later discovers travelers check is counterfeit. SUSPECT DESCRIPTION: Male, Black, 50 years, 600, 180, short salt and pepper hair wearing a red plaid shirt, blue windbreaker and khaki pants.
• 12-22-09, 8 AM, 700 block of Fair Oaks (Pet’s Delight). Suspect(s) purchases a dog with a check. Check is later discovered to be stolen.
• 1-4-10 to 1-14-10, 100 block of Warwick. Suspect(s) gains access to victim’s checking account and attempt to make an unauthorized withdrawal.
• 1-5-10 to 1-20-10, 300 block of Raymondale. Suspect(s) gains access to victim’s credit card account and makes an unauthorized charge.
• Unknown date/time to 1-5-10, 1100 block of Fremont. Suspect(s) uses victim’s personal information to open a telephone account.
• Unknown date/time to 1-5-10, 300 block of Raymondale. Victim advertises car for sale on the internet. Suspect sends check to victim over the listed amount and requests that the victim wires the additional funds to out of the country.
• Unknown date/time to 1-4-10, 300 block of Mockingbird. Suspect(s) gains access to victim’s debit card account and makes several unauthorized purchases.

THEFT

• 12-3-09, 10 AM to 10:30 AM, 800 block of Prospect (nursing home). Suspect(s) enters victim’s room and takes loss from victim’s pants. LOSS: Wallet.
• 12-8-09, 6 PM to 12-9-09, 3 PM, 1400 block of Indiana. Suspect(s) takes outgoing mail from victim’s mailbox.
• 12-8-09, 9 PM to 12-9-09, 7:30 AM, 200 block of St. Albans. Suspect(s) takes outgoing mail from victim’s mailbox. Victim notices that neighbors’ mailboxes are also opened.
• 12-15-09, 11:20 PM 1900 block of Illinois. Victim sees suspect taking mail from mailbox and drive away. Victim follows suspect and sees suspect drive down the street taking mail from numerous curbside mailboxes. SUSPECT VEHICLE: Green Jeep. SUSPECT DESCRIPTION: Unknown.
• 12-12-09, 12:30 PM to 12-15-09, 6 PM, 1300 block of Fair Oaks. Victim is involved in a traffic collision and vehicle towed. Victim picks up vehicle from tow yard and discovers the vehicle’s battery has been replaced.
