About the Name

At one time, the Cawston Ostrich Farm was the most popular tourist destination in South Pasadena. The ostriches are long gone, but you can still see an old ostrich feeder on the north wall of Meridian Iron Works. Go check it out the next time you're at the Farmer's Market or hopping on the Gold Line. Get a hold of me here.

Green Machine Gleanings

The city is hosting its Clean-Air Car Show and Green-Living Expo this Sunday, where you can look at fuel-efficient cars and stuff. Caltrans to Hold 710 Tunnel Q&A

Some brave Caltrans officials plan to hold a community meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 25 at the South Pasadena Library. They’ll discuss the tunnel plan and the feasability studies they’ve been conducting along the proposed route.
